National nodes
Building a distributed Research infrastructure
EBRAINS RI is a distributed research infrastructure, organised around a Central Hub and National Nodes. At this stage, initiatives are taking place in different European countries to set up and formalise the consortia that will become the National Nodes of EBRAINS and provide the services of the research infrastructure.
All institutions included in the future nodes consortia are members of EBRAINS AISBL (full or associate)
Institutions from the following countries have filled in an application to become the first National Nodes of EBRAINS and are currently creating national consortia to this end.

As a distributed RI on the European Strategy Forum on Research
Infrastructures (ESFRI) Roadmap, the EBRAINS RI is being built as a
network of National Nodes, which are the primary suppliers of
user-facing tools and services.
