EBRAINS appoints new Chair of Science and Technology Committee
In his role, Professor Jolivet will lead the EBRAINS Science and Technology Committee (ESTC). The ESTC is tasked with advising the Board of Directors on the strategic agenda of EBRAINS, as well as providing its expertise to all governing bodies of EBRAINS on relevant matters.
In 2005, he received his PhD in Computational Neurosciences from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, and since then he has held research positions at the University of Zürich, University College London, and the University of Geneva and CERN. In 2021, he became Full Professor of Neural Engineering and Computation in the Centre for Systems Biology at Maastricht University. His research focuses on how energy is consumed in the brain.
