NORBRAIN is a national research infrastructure program created to ensure that Norwegian scientists are given access to cutting-edge neurotechnology as it evolves. The scientific director of NORBRAIN is Nobel laureate Professor Edvard Moser from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim.
The grant for NORBRAIN4 will go towards the establishment of a Norwegian unit affiliated to EBRAINS, as well as further development and renewal of brain research equipment at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, the University of Bergen, and the University of Oslo.
Professor Clive Bramham leads the NORBRAIN hub at the University of Bergen. Professor Trygve Leergaard, who is head of the EBRAINS Norway National Node, and was recently appointed Chair of the EBRAINS National Node Board, leads the NORBRAIN hub at the University of Oslo.
“This grant is great news and very important to us. It makes it possible for us to continue our participation in the development of the European research infrastructure EBRAINS. It also provides Norwegian brain scientists with new resources for data sharing and analyses via EBRAINS.”
