Advanced Neural Data Analysis and Neuroinformatics School

ANDA-NI

Aims

  • Gain practical experience in analyzing and managing electrophysiological datasets that you bring to the school.

  • Learn to put the latest neuroinformatics tools, including those available on EBRAINS, to use.

  • Work closely with experts in the field.

Synopsis

Techniques to record neuronal data from populations of neurons are rapidly improving, allowing for simultaneous recordings from hundreds of channels while animals perform complex behavioral tasks. The analysis of such massive and intricate data sets poses significant challenges. ANDA-NI aims to equip participants with theoretical and practical training in state-of-the-art analysis approaches for neurophysiological data. EBRAINS tools, such as Elephant, will be used to analyze electrophysiological datasets.

In addition, the school emphasizes the importance of data management to facilitate collaborative efforts in data analysis within research teams. ANDA-NI offers in-depth practical training on working with electrophysiological data in a collaborative environment and implementing workflows using current neuroinformatics tools.

Application Details

The school will be held in a hybrid fashion, with virtual preparatory lectures from 25 to 27 September and an in-person workshop of one week held at the Research Center Jülich, Germany, from 4 to 8 November.

Application deadline: August 20, 2024

Participation is limited to 14 participants to allow for an interactive and intense learning environment.
