Overview
Following the establishment of its membership in EBRAINS, Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center (PCSS) signed in July 2025 the EBRAINS National Node Agreement, thus joining forces with the Nencki Institute in the process of shaping EBRAINS Poland National Node. This collaboration brings together PCSS's advanced digital infrastructure capabilities and the Nencki Institute's renowned expertise in neuroscience, thus providing a strong foundation as additional members from Poland potentially join EBRAINS. This objective has been consistently pursued since January 2025 within the framework of Polish National Consortium EBRAINS-PL, which was created to increase Poland's presence in the landscape of brain sciences in Europe and worldwide. EBRAINS-PL is the largest research consortium for brain sciences in Poland. Its main objective is to initialise, develop and promote the usage of a state-of-the-art digital research infrastructure for brain sciences to address challenges associated with developing personalized medicine approaches through transdisciplinary collaboration. The primary perspective of the consortium focuses on the development and implementation of projects that will form part of the EBRAINS-PL infrastructure and will offer tools and services to be included in EBRAINS lifecycle.
