AbTau_Brainmodel

This repository provides the Python implementation of a whole-brain computational modeling framework developed to study the differential influence of amyloid-beta (Aβ) and tau protein accumulation in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). The model integrates subject-specific structural connectomes, resting-state fMRI, and PET-derived biomarker maps from the ADNI cohort to simulate altered brain dynamics using a Hopf oscillator model.

The computational pipeline supports parameter optimization, group-level comparisons across diagnostic categories, and biomarker-based classification using the AT(N) framework. It allows researchers to investigate the specific contributions of Aβ and tau to functional reactivity, network integrity, and disease progression, supporting mechanistic insights into AD pathology and potential neurostimulation targets.
