MenstrualCycleBrainDynamics
This repository provides a MATLAB implementation of a whole-brain node-metastability (ignition) analysis framework, developed to examine the effects of menstrual cycle phase, hormone levels, and age on dynamical brain activity in healthy women. The pipeline processes resting-state fMRI and structural connectivity data to compute subject-specific ignition metrics, allowing quantification of functional reactivity and complexity across cortical networks such as DMN, salience, and somatomotor systems. This tool enables individualised whole-brain modelling relevant for neuroendocrinology and women's brain health research.
