Travel and Transport

How can I get to Nice?

Nice by plane

Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is the main international airport serving Nice, with direct flights from most major European cities. It is located about 7 kilometres southwest of the city centre. From the airport, you can reach the city by tram (Line 2), bus, taxi, or car rental.

Nice by train

Nice is well connected by the French national railway network (SNCF). The Nice Ville train station, located in the city centre, offers regional, national, and international train services. High-speed TGV trains connect Nice with Paris, Marseille, and other major cities in France, while regional TER trains provide access to neighbouring towns and the French Riviera.

Nice by coach

Several coach companies operate services to Nice from various cities in France and neighbouring countries. The main coach station is located near the city centre, making it convenient for travellers arriving by bus.

Nice by car

Nice is connected by the A8 motorway, known as "La Provençale", which links the city with major French destinations such as Marseille and Aix-en-Provence. The local road network provides convenient access to the surrounding French Riviera and the Italian border. Please be aware that environmental regulations apply in certain areas of Nice; vehicles may be required to display a Crit'Air emissions sticker to enter low-emission zones.
