Within the EU-co-funded EBRAINS 2.0 project, the EBRAINS data, tools and services as provided on this website are being further developed.
Taking EBRAINS to the Next Level
The overarching goal of EBRAINS 2.0 is to foster a deeper understanding of brain structure and function with dedicated and mature software tools, to facilitate the development of more effective treatments, new drugs, diagnostics and preventive measures for neuro-psychiatric disorders.
The project will further the development and provision of the infrastructure’s research technologies to the scientific community. It aims to establish a new standard for brain atlases, gather and connect multimodal neuroscientific and clinical data and push forward the development of digital twin approaches.
Publications
Since the project start in January 2024, EBRAINS 2.0 has resulted in and contributed to over one hundred research publications.
Halfway Through EBRAINS 2.0: Highlights from the Project so far
EBRAINS 2.0 is running from January 2024 until December 2026. Some highlight achievements half way through the project include more than 120 new datasets, enhanced brain atlases with new maps and data, the connection oft he Platform for Human Imaging to EBRAINS, more than 120 new datasets, the development of advanced simulation and modelling tools, the publication of the EBRAINS Handbook as well as the establishment oft he EBRAINS Software Distribution.
