The International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility (INCF) has opened its call for Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2026 project ideas, and welcomes project ideas from the EBRAINS Community.
This call is for experienced developers and scientists, who are interested in mentoring an 8 - 22 week coding project related to brain research.
Prospective mentors can submit their project idea until 1 February 2026 using this form.
In the "Organization" field, please add "EBRAINS" if you would like to affiliate your proposal with our community and receive additional support from the EBRAINS Science Support team. Applications for contributors will open at a later date, between 16 - 31 March 2026, if the INCF is accepted as a mentoring organization.
