Access to research software: Opportunities and challenges

At this hybrid workshop stakeholders from academia, government and the private sector will convene to explore policy options to support access to research software as a key enabler towards advancing open science. The event is hosted by the OECD.

EBRAINS Management Board Member Professor Jan Bjaalie will participate in the panel 'Establishing Relevant Public-Private Partnerships' from 15:15-16:15. This session will examine models for effective public–private partnerships that leverage the complementary strengths of academia, industry, and government. Participants will discuss funding mechanisms, co-development initiatives, strategies to uphold open principles in commercial and hybrid environments. The goal is to identify scalable, sustainable approaches to shared investment and innovation in research software ecosystem.
