The 10th BigBrain Workshop will take place in Montréal, Canada, from October 21–22, 2026.
Over the years, the workshop has become the annual meeting point for the BigBrain community to share latest results, discuss prospects for BigBrain-associated data and tools, and brainstorm how to better leverage high-performance computing and artificial intelligence to build multimodal, multiresolution methods for the BigBrain and related high-resolution datasets.
The BigBrain Workshop will again be held in conjunction with a Training Day—an on-site full-day event on October 20.
This edition marks a special milestone: it is the first workshop following the formal closing of the funded component for the HIBALL initiative. While this project phase has concluded, the HIBALL consortium remains active, and together with the broader BigBrain community continues to advance this exceptional dataset and the technical ecosystem that enables impactful neuroscience research.
