During this two-day event in Kyoto, we will provide an overview of the EBRAINS-RI and the operational aspects of its core services.
Day 1 - 04 Feb 2026
We welcome researchers at any stage of their career to attend and learn more about the EBRAINS-RI. The diverse talks will provide an overview of EBRAINS tools and services, with a focus on platform services; data curation; and co-design. Additionally, there will be a talk dedicated to the Virtual Brain Twin (VBT) project as an example of a scientific workflow that translates research into clinical applications.
Day 2 - 05 Feb 2026
The second day will consist of hands-on sessions related to data curation and co-design. Data curation ensures that high-quality, well-documented datasets are accessible for reuse, addressing challenges like inconsistent file formats or incomplete metadata that hinder collaborative research. Co-design leverages input from diverse stakeholders (including neuroscientists, clinicians, data scientists, and patients) to develop tools and workflows that are intuitive, inclusive, and aligned with real-world needs.
We invite participants to suggest new datasets and workflows that should made available to the wider scientific community though the EBRAINS-RI.
