Scientists detect volume losses in brain regions associated with Parkinson's using EBRAINS

The team analysed in detail which parts of the brain changed over time using the Julich Brain Atlas on EBRAINS. The findings suggest that the volumes of certain brain regions decrease over time in a specific pattern that is associated with clinical symptoms and largely coincides with the pattern described in Braak’s famous staging theory.
